Short version: this is a blog, not a data business. Here is exactly what happens.

If you sign up for alerts, we keep your email address, the time you signed up, the country your connection came from, the page you came from, and your browser's user-agent string. A hidden field flags bots. That record lives in Cloudflare KV and is deleted automatically after one year. It is used for one thing: telling you when a new post goes up.

What we don't do: no analytics, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts, no ads, and we set no cookies of our own. Fonts and art are served from this site.

Hosting: the site runs on Cloudflare. Like any site behind it, Cloudflare handles connection data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site, and keeps short-lived request logs for the signup endpoint (about three days). Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that.

To be removed from the alerts list, email postmaster@kawaiicloud.com from the address you signed up with and we delete the record. We never sell or share the list.
